STRIVE
For our STRIVE students, I work alongside the class Teachers and Teaching Assistants to ensure the students are kept safe and well but above all happy and that they enjoy their day right from the moment they are picked up via our minibuses to the moment they arrive home.
I help to source suitable community days so that our students can experience time out of college in a variety of locations such as supermarkets, cafés, parks, libraries etc.
I also assist College Nurses with any medical issues that should arise and maintain constant contact with parents/carers so that the channel of communication is always open.
THRIVE
For our Thrive students, I work alongside Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants to ensure the students are kept motivated during their classroom activities and also to challenge the students to learn new skills or hone the skills that they have already acquired.
I help to source suitable community days and also Business Enterprise opportunities where our students go out into the community and take part in events such as creating/selling themed items and work alongside Ruth Martin, our Placement Co-ordinator to secure Voluntary placements.
