Students from the College and Sixth Form joined together to take part in two days of employability skills.
The Department of Works and Pensions and the Job Centre Plus, attended the Hive College and delivered workshops to our students on interview skills and how to search for jobs online. All students were engaged and eager to share with the group what they had learned and how much they had progressed.
Employers from Honeybourne Facilities, John Taylor Hospice, Aecom, Greenshoot HR, and Goldust Marketing, all joined us on Friday and provided realistic interview conditions. All students who attended on the Friday took part in the interviews.
Employers found the day extremely worthwhile and have expressed their wish to take part in future events.
All students were able to reflect on their performance and found the day beneficial.
Staff at the Hive College were very impressed with the Sixth Form students, who took part fully in all activities and enjoyed experiencing the college environment.
Many thanks to all of our guests, staff and students whose participation and enthusiasm made the two days such a success.
